Join OLS for an evening of laughs with local comics, hosted by Jim and Nikki Martin, with Ali Simpson, Coleen Daisy Riley, Marie Connor, Keith Hebert and Joe Deschaine.
Ali Simpson is a mainstay on the Portland comedy scene, recently featuring at Waking Windows and Laugh Shack at Lincolns. She performs comedy in bars, clubs, breweries, pizza places, repurposed churches and bowling alleys across Maine and New England and doesn’t plan on stopping.
Colleen Daisy Riley is as Boston as it gets: she says wicked on a regular basis, not to get a laugh but because it's a wicked good word. A mother of four, Colleen needs to do comedy to ensure that she showers and gets out of her living room now and then. Her honest and irreverent take on relationships, marriage and parenting consistently connect with audiences looking for the funny in everyday life. A recent feature in the Portland Maine Comedy Festival, you can also see her as the cohost/producer of StandUp Jam at ImprovBoston every month.
Marie Connor is a Boston based comedian who provides an unflinching, yet hysterical commentary on what it is to be a millennial, a lesbian and a badass. Her unique perspective as a member of the LGBT community and former Republican gives her targets on both sides of the aisle. In other words, she pisses off all the right people.
Marie has performed at comedy festivals, fundraisers, LGBTQ events, and political events including the Trump Roast in DC with Kathy Griffin.
Outside of Standup, Marie has made several TV appearances and once played a doctor in a corporate video for Ocean Spray (not bad for someone who got a C+ in high school Chemistry class). She has also amassed a dedicated following as the hugely popular @thistallawkgirl on Twitter.
An accountant by day and comic by night, when Keith Hebert’s not clacking away on a calculator he’s yakking it up on a mic. Keith will make you laugh so hard you'll make a mess in your pants.
As a boy in Marblehead, Massachusetts, Keith Hebert often made his friends laugh so hard that for a moment they all forgot they were orphans living outside. Except for the winter months, It was an idyllic childhood. In 1993 Keith started gaining a reputation throughout Marblehead as a very funny boy. Eventually Keith got so funny that his parents decided they loved him again. Keith moved back indoors, started going to school and fell in love with accounting, but he never lost his knack for making people laugh.
Keith doesn’t like to brag about his slew of comedic accomplishments or all the famous comics he’s worked with, but rest assured that Keith Hebert is certified to make you laugh and do your taxes. Keith is currently the house comic at Empire and you can catch him there just about every night of the week.
Born and raised in Auburn, Joe Deschaine spent 9 years hiding in the redwood forests of Northern California before moving to Portland. Joe has been performing standup comedy for nearly 8 years, and is the producer/host of the very popular game show Make ME Laugh, held monthly in Portland. Joe’s comedy has been described as “so low-brow that it’s almost in your pants,” and covers topics ranging from dating in Maine to quantum physics. Booked on shows from coast to coast, as well as in Hawaii, Joe Deschaine has performed and helped organize multiple comedy festivals on the west coast, and hosts the comedy open mic at Empire Live Music and Events.
Hosted by Nikki and Jim Martin: Portland’s Most Married Comedy Couple returns to host at OLS! They’re overjoyed to see all of your beautiful money.
