Ocean Sol Jazz + Special Guest- Shannon O’Connor-vocalist- in association with El Rancho Productions and One Longfellow Square announces; The Winter Jazz Musicians Benefit concert to help end the Opioid Epidemic in Maine.
From the band:
We are acutely aware of the Heroin/Opiate epidemic in Maine and around the United States, and have decided to raise awareness and funding to programs that directly care for people with addictions, that are willing to go directly to treatment and a sustained recovery from Opiates and other addictions. We will also feature some of Maine’s finest musical talent for your viewing and listening pleasure. A pre-recorded video address from Senator Angus King will be shown at the top of the show regarding his thoughts on the ongoing Opiate crisis. This is a chance to hear and watch amazing local jazz musicians perform for you.
We will have great jazz, light snacks and cocktails to raise awareness and money to directly help Human Beings suffering from addictions in Maine, and have a chance to recover. All Proceeds are going directly towards Dignity for Opiate Users.
