10/01/22 LOLS: An Evening of Local Comedy
Saturday, October 1, 2022
$ 12.00

Join OLS for an evening of laughs with local comics, hosted by Jim and Nikki Martin.

The Martins host this fun little shindig. They love their cats, each other, and making you dinks laugh. Closing out year 4 of LOLS!

Headliner: Connor McGrath (ALBUM RECORDING)

“Connor McGrath is funny. I don’t mean funny in the, “Oh, chuckle chuckle” sense of the word. Nope, the Deering Center, Maine native is absolutely hilarious, and if you don’t believe me, well, watch this. And this. And this. His stuff is electric and unsparing. And, best of all, original. Watching Connor at work actually reminds me of the early Chris Rock days, when it’d be, ‘Holy shit, where did that come from?'”- Jeff Pearlman, New York Times Best Selling Author (Winning Time)

Featuring: Anders Neilsen

Anders J Nielsen has performed stand up across the country and once in Europe. He runs a weekly comedy showcase at Lincoln’s every Thursday at 8:30 with comics from Late Night, Comedy Central and Streaming Services. When not on stage, Anders cannot be seen.

Also appearing:

With Rachel Gendron

Micaela Leigh

Micaela Leigh has been described as a treasured talent and local cultural bearer by over 4 now defunct local publications. Some would say “she’s a teacher with a crude attitude,” but Micaela was a comedian first, folks, and that’s why we love her!

Keith Hebert

An accountant by day and comic by night, when Keith Hebert’s not clacking away on a calculator he’s yakking it up on a mic. Keith will make you laugh so hard you’ll make a mess in your pants.

As a boy in Marblehead, Massachusetts, Keith Hebert often made his friends laugh so hard that for a moment they all forgot they were orphans living outside. Except for the winter months, It was an idyllic childhood. In 1993 Keith started gaining a reputation throughout Marblehead as a very funny boy. Eventually Keith got so funny that his parents decided they loved him again. Keith moved back indoors, started going to school and fell in love with accounting, but he never lost his knack for making people laugh.

Keith doesn’t like to brag about his slew of comedic accomplishments or all the famous comics he’s worked with, but rest assured that Keith Hebert is certified to make you laugh and do your taxes. Keith is currently the house comic at Empire and you can catch him there just about every night of the week.

OLS is committed to providing a safe environment for all who work, listen, or perform live music in our venue. Because our venue is so small, effective on August 3, 2022, we will require all staff, volunteers, and patrons to wear masks indoors unless they are actively drinking, eating, or performing. Certain shows, at the request of those artists, will also require proof of vaccination against COVID-19 for entry to OLS.

We will require mask usage as our default policy unless stated otherwise; please refer to the language on each concert's event page to check the policy for the show you are attending.

If the show you are attending requires proof of vaccination:

Proof of vaccine must come directly from the health care provider that performed the vaccination and can be a photo or physical copy of the vaccination card or record. Full vaccination means that the date of the performance you are attending is:

  • at least 14 days after your second dose of an FDA or WHO authorized two dose COVID-19 vaccine, or
  • at least 14 days after your single dose of an FDA or WHO authorized single dose COVID vaccine.

We hope we can ease these restrictions once further progress has been made in reducing the transmission of the virus. Until then, we greatly appreciate your patience and cooperation.
