Musically proficient like Joni Mitchell and Pinegrove\, Barton writes music that is emotionally cutting like Sufjan Stevens and Fiona Apple. With reverence for the craft of songwriting\, Barton writes and sings like she speaks: unapologetic\, yet approachable. As a live performer\, Barton is known for quieting a room with just her voice and guitar\, turning crowds into confidants. Having shared stages with Lizzy McAlpine\, Madi Diaz\, Field Medic\, Searows\, and others\, her songs carry what folk music has always carried: emotion\, memory\, simple truth. \n\n\n\nHer 2022 album\, This is a Good Sign\, produced by Collin Pastore and Jake Finch (Lucy Dacus\, Ashe)\, led to a co-write with Lizzy McAlpine on “Older” and an invitation to support McAlpine’s 2023 North American tour. That same year\, Barton co-wrote “if i were a fish” with her partner corook and the song reached millions; the New York Times called it “a forgotten track off the Juno soundtrack.” \n\n\n\nBarton’s latest album\, For Myself and For You\, was co-produced by Sam Skinner of Pinegrove in Brooklyn throughout 2024 released fall of 2025\, and toured in early 2026. Immersed in a scene that included icons like Stan Rogers and Tom Paxton\, he began writing and performing his own songs. Gorka’s powerful baritone and poignant songwriting earned early acclaim\, especially after winning the New Folk Award at the Kerrville Folk Festival in 1984. His debut album I Know (Red House Records) was followed by five celebrated albums on High Street Records\, and his music drew praise from Rolling Stone as “the preeminent male singer/songwriter of the new folk movement.” He toured extensively in the U.S. and Europe\, with artists such as Nanci Griffith and Mary Chapin Carpenter\, and his songs were covered by many prominent performers. \n\n\n\nIn 1998\, Gorka returned to Red House Records\, embracing a more personal\, roots-driven approach. If you do it right\, a song can be very healing.” \n\n\n\nFor Jennings\, songwriting has always been about creating a personal connection\, both with his audience and with himself. Over the years\, he’s become known for his unpretentious\, emotive approach to folk music\, combining introspective lyrics with acoustic melodies. He’s drawn comparisons to the greats of the genre\, including Nick Drake\, John Fahey\, and Tom Waits\, but Jennings’ sound is distinctly his own\, one that blends vulnerability with strength\, simplicity with complexity. \n\n\n\nBorn in Honolulu and raised in Pittsburgh\, Jennings’ musical journey began with a move to Minneapolis in the late 1990s\, where he released his debut album and quickly gained attention for his raw\, authentic sound. Carey is the moniker of Eau Claire\, Wisconsin-based multi-instrumentalist\, songwriter\, and producer Sean Carey\, commonly recognized as the drummer\, backing vocalist\, and second longest-serving member of Bon Iver. Over the past decade and a half\, Carey has fostered his flourishing solo career via themes of nature and sustainability\, songwriting built from jazz beginnings\, and heartfelt\, emotive lyricism. His latest release\, Watercress\, adds to a discography of four full-length releases\, two EPs\, and countless collaborations\, including Unbound with Bizhiki and Shadowlands with John Raymond. \n\n\n\nAs S. Since he first emerged in 1999\, he has been penning honest and heartfelt songs that continue to garner fans and crowds across the globe. Gabe’s songs have been covered by many; Garth Brooks\, Taj Mahal\, Keb Mo and Ben Rector to name a few.
