Inspired by a childhood spent reading\, writing poetry\, and listening to her family’s music collection\, she began writing songs after picking up the guitar at age 11. \n\n\n\nAn active part of the Maine music scene since 2017\, Sigrid performs across the state at festivals\, songwriter showcases\, coffee shops\, bookstores\, and markets. A graduate of the University of Southern Maine’s Music Education and Composition program\, she released her debut album\, Old Faithful Dreams\, in May 2025. After years of touring the world with Sparks\, he returned home to raise a family and launch a solo career. His debut EP Daydreamin’ (2020) led to shows alongside some of his idols\, and in 2023 he followed with Autumn Skies\, a heartfelt record featuring longtime Sparks bandmates and guest appearances from members of The Mallett Brothers Band and Old 97’s. The album earned a New England Music Awards nomination for Album of the Year. \n\n\n\nIn 2024\, inspired by the loss of his father and the birth of his second child\, McAllister recorded The Outsider EP in rural Maine with producer Jonathan Wyman. Its opening track\, “Millinocket Stars\,” is now in rotation on Portland’s WCLZ. Since coming together in late 2024\, the band has honed a sound that moves seamlessly between blues\, funk\, R&B\, and pop-rock sensibilities\, creating original music built on groove and soul. \n\n\n\nThe project was sparked when veteran drummer Gary Lowell discovered a video of Melvin Gradiz performing and immediately recognized a singular talent. A single jam session confirmed their undeniable chemistry\, and the two set out on their musical journey. Their debut single\, “Every Little Thing\,” was released in the spring of 2025. The lineup was completed by Randy Runnels\, a longtime friend and musical partner of Lowell’s\, whose inventive bass playing became the trio’s essential anchor.  \n\n\n\nWith a growing catalog of road-tested originals and new co-written material\, the band is hitting its stride. The casual meetup quickly became a vehicle for Caroline’s songwriting\, and the trio would regularly sneak into the dusty unfinished basement of their apartment building to jam (don’t tell our ex-landlord!). With the addition of Stephen Bennett (of bands Robert Samantha and God’s Furniture) on lead guitar\, the group hit the circuit and played increasingly-hyped shows in the greater Portland\, ME area. With strong vocals and heavy hooks\, Lolabelle’s music is both bittersweet and deeply visceral\, cathartic but also fun and full of driving energy. \n\n\n\nPlaying venues ranging from the highly-established (Blue Portland Maine\, The Apohadion Theater\, The Portland Club\, Hey Sailor! and the Starboard Lounge\, Hi-Fidelity\, Fogtown Brewing Company\, to name a few) to the totally DIY (basements\, house parties\, driveway shows\, you name it)\, Lolabelle is sure to pack a punch and bring the party with their high-energy live show. Just as important to the music is the handmade/homemade spirit infused in the band– whether it’s the limited edition shirts Caroline screen-printed-on-demand at a backyard fest\, or the film photo you spot of yourself in the crowd at a driveway show\, or the zine you picked up from the merch table.
