SUMMARY:Howley (of We Banjo 3)
DESCRIPTION:Doors open an hour before showtime.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nADVANCE PURCHASE: $25 (+ fees)\n\n\n\nDAY OF SHOW: $30 (+ fees)\n\n\n\nAll surcharges and member discounts will be calculated at checkout.\n\n\n\nClick Here to learn how our ticket surcharge supports OLS.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe next chapter from the brothers who redefined Irish folk music. \n\n\n\nFor over a decade\, David and Martin Howley have been at the heart of a musical revolution. As founding members of We Banjo 3\, the Galway-born brothers brought Irish traditional music to new heights\, blending it with Americana\, bluegrass\, and contemporary songcraft to create a sound beloved across the world. Their electrifying live shows\, virtuosic playing\, and brotherly chemistry made We Banjo 3 one of the most celebrated acts on the international folk scene. \n\n\n\nNow\, the brothers return with a brand-new project: Howley — a re-imagining of that signature sound for a new era. With Martin’s dazzling mastery on banjo and mandolin and David’s unmistakable voice and rhythmic guitar\, Howley is both a continuation and a renewal\, rooted in tradition but reaching fearlessly toward the future. \n\n\n\nJoined by two world-class artists\, Kiana June (fiddle\, vocals) and Caitlin Leahy (percussion\, flute\, vocals)\, Howley expands the brothers’ trademark sound with lush harmonies\, fiery fiddle\, and rhythmic flair. The result is warm\, vibrant\, and deeply human: a band that feels both comfortingly familiar and thrillingly new. \n\n\n\nMartin Howley\, a seven-time All-Ireland champion and the first Irish banjoist to perform on the Grand Ole Opry\, brings dazzling precision and playful charisma to every performance. \n\n\n\nDavid Howley\, known for his soulful voice and magnetic stage presence\, fuses the sensitivity of a songwriter with the power of a rock frontman. \n\n\n\nKiana June\, the “fiddle-fueled” virtuoso of Gaelic Storm and Come From Away\, infuses the music with both elegance and fire. \n\n\n\nCaitlin Leahy\, an accomplished multi-instrumentalist from the celebrated Leahy’s Luck family\, provides rhythmic heartbeat and shimmering vocal textures. \n\n\n\nTogether\, they form a sound built on connection: the pulse of family\, the spark of shared history\, and the joy of collaboration. \n\n\n\nWith Howley\, the brothers have created something new: music that celebrates their past but looks ahead with open arms. Their live show is full of laughter\, harmony\, and heart\, the kind of energy that reminds audiences why they fell in love with folk music in the first place. \n\n\n\n“Fans of We Banjo 3 will recognize the spirit — but Howley brings it into a new light: deeper\, braver\, and bursting with soul.” \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram

SUMMARY:Upstate with special guest The Pinkerton Raid (solo)
DESCRIPTION:Doors open an hour before showtime.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nADVANCE PURCHASE: $20 (+ fees)\n\n\n\nDAY OF SHOW: $25 (+ fees)\n\n\n\nAll surcharges and member discounts will be calculated at checkout.\n\n\n\nClick Here to learn how our ticket surcharge supports OLS.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIt takes good soil\, and good seasons\, to bear good fruit\, and Upstate has had its plenty. The band sprung up in New York’s legendary Hudson Valley\, set in the middle of a thick American musical heritage. To their inland West was the Ashokan reservoir folk tradition\, and across the river to the East the legacy of Pete Seeger and the Clearwater. Just north of them was Woodstock and Big Pink\, and all the treasured inheritance of Bob Dylan and the Band. Just south was Tony Falco’s famed venue the Falcon\, a refuge and respite for some of the most venerable jazz legends like Sonny Rollins or Joe Lovano. From the first\, Upstate drew liberally from everything each corner had to offer. \n\n\n\nWith their first record\, A Remedy\, they were known for three-part female vocal arrangements recalling “not only the serpentine sibling harmonies of the Roches\, but of the Andrews and Boswell sisters.” They were otherwise known for an eclectic arrangement of instruments weaving together upright bass\, mandolin\, cajon and baritone saxophone. By their second record Healing\, they were likened to Lake Street Dive and “Manhattan Transfer meets Loretta Lynn.” For their third\, You Only Get a Few\, they drew comparisons to the sound of Laurel Canyon\, another American musical landmark on the other side of the continent. This time they had shed the eclectic instrumentation in favor of traditional drums and guitars. \n\n\n\nAfter 15 years\, three records\, nearly a dozen former members\, and one name change\, Upstate could almost seem unrecognizable were it not for the constancy of their songs. Original members Melanie Glenn\, Harry D’Agostino\, and Mary Webster have been writing and playing music together throughout all the upheavals in the band and their lives. It’s their shared dedication to writing songs of lasting value that has persisted across all the changes to their sound. When Dylan Mckinstry finally joined the band in the years of the COVID pandemic\, his enthusiasm for that commitment made it the band’s lasting cornerstone. \n\n\n\nOn their upcoming Abalone\, Upstate draws on the best of what has marked the band in all its many eras. They showcase a broad range of sounds and styles from across America’s musical landmarks\, from the Hudson Valley to Laurel Canyon and back again (with a few detours to Muscle Shoals). They revive their noted three-part harmonies\, this time with McKinstry adding a male voice to the mix. And most importantly\, they bring an even more seasoned dedication to writing and performing songs of lasting value. \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Pinkerton Raid (Solo)\n\n\n\nThe Pinkerton Raid is led by songwriter Jesse James DeConto\, a longtime journalist and storyteller whose songs draw from family\, fatherhood\, history\, and the complicated world his children are inheriting. Those themes come into sharper focus on the band’s latest album\, IF YOU LOVE SOMEBODY\, TELL THEM\, co-produced with The Collection’s David Wimbish and Bombadil’s James Phillips. A protest album rooted in care for one another\, its songs reckon with social inequities\, collective trauma\, climate change\, and the possibilities of community and art in uncertain times. \n\n\n\nMusically\, Jesse draws from the sounds he grew up with\, from Liverpool and Laurel Canyon to Motown\, folk\, and Americana\, creating songs AMERICANA-UK has called “anthemic.” Critics have heard echoes of Iron & Wine\, Neil Young\, Wilco\, and The Killers\, and The Pinkerton Raid has shared stages with Sunny War\, Amythyst Kiah\, TopHouse\, and Noah Gundersen. Following an official showcase at Folk Alliance International 2025 and appearances at grassroots festivals including Mile of Music and AVLFest\, the band continues to bring Jesse’s soft-spoken protest songs\, storytelling\, and self-described “Big Dad Energy” to stages around the country. \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram

LEAF is a yearlong program that supports Maine-based artists through paid performance opportunities\, creative development\, and deeper connection with their community. Hosting an open mic gives Fellows a chance to shape a night they care about – welcoming artists into the room\, inviting a featured performer\, and spending time connecting with an audience in a relaxed\, low-pressure setting. These nights create a chance for the community to check in with our LEAF Fellows throughout the year – to see how their work is evolving\, spend time together in the room\, and support both the artists onstage and the program growing around them.

SUMMARY:WMPG 21st Annual Bluegrass Spectacular
DESCRIPTION:Doors open an hour before showtime.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nADVANCE PRICING: $25 (+ fees)\n\n\n\nDAY OF SHOW PRICING: $30 (+ fees)\n\n\n\nAll surcharges and member discounts will be calculated at checkout.\n\n\n\nClick Here to learn how our ticket surcharge supports OLS.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIt’s back! The 21st Annual WMPG Bluegrass Spectacular returns to One Longfellow Square for another night of bluegrass in support of community radio. \n\n\n\nThis year’s lineup brings together Cumberland Union String Band\, White Mountain Ramblers\, and Maine Coon Cats for the latest installment of this longtime WMPG tradition. \n\n\n\nAs always\, all proceeds from the show benefit WMPG\, Portland’s community radio station and a steadfast supporter of Maine music and musicians. \n\n\n\nCome on out for the 21st annual and get ready for some high-and-lonesome good times! \n\n\n\nCumberland Union String Band was formed in 2025 when a bunch of folks who liked playing bluegrass and old time music got together in Portland and realized they’d stumbled upon a good thing. Though they sometimes feature various local artists\, the core members are: Tom Feeley on guitar and vocals\, Emma Halas-O’Connor on upright bass\, Bill Holden on dobro\, Ben Jensen on banjo and vocals\, Remington Pontes on mandolin and vocals\, and Emily Wiederkehr on fiddle.. They play a lively mix of standards and some obscure foot tappers\, and have been lucky enough to play regularly at places like Smalls\, the East Ender\, and Terlingua.   \n\n\n\nThe Maine Coon Cats Band is an all women string band featuring Bluegrass\, Old Tyme\, Folk and Americana tunes. They are 4 women from Southern Maine\, Ann Potter-Murray- Clawhammer Banjo\, Jen Deraspe -Cello & Fiddle\, Eileen Armstrong -Fiddle and Cheryl Begin – Guitar. This past Summer they were honored to be chosen to play at Ossippee Valley Music Fest.  They were also asked to participate in the Bluegrass Music Association of Maine band contest at The Crooked River Music Fest. They didn’t win but had a great time.     \n\n\n\nWhite Mountain Ramblers are a Portland\, Maine–based acoustic quartet blending traditional bluegrass with modern influences and improvisational energy. Formed in 2024\, the band features Nathaniel Haas (upright bass/vocals)\, Ben Rossetter (mandolin/vocals)\, Luke Bartol (fiddle)\, and Robbie Neeb (guitar/vocals). Drawing from artists like Tony Rice\, John Prine\, and the Grateful Dead\, their sound moves seamlessly between hard-driving standards\, original songs\, and exploratory jams. Known for their engaging live performances\, the Ramblers have quickly built a following across New England\, performing at breweries\, festivals\, and listening rooms while fostering a strong sense of community through music. \n\n\n\nWMPG: Website | Facebook | Instagram

SUMMARY:Connor Garvey & Ben Cosgrove — Together in Concert
DESCRIPTION:Doors open an hour before showtime.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nADVANCE PURCHASE: $20 (+ fees)\n\n\n\nDAY OF SHOW: $25 (+ fees)\n\n\n\nAll surcharges and member discounts will be calculated at checkout.\n\n\n\nClick Here to learn how our ticket surcharge supports OLS.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTwo distinctive New England musicians\, two very different musical voices\, and a shared love of great songs\, stories\, and the spaces between them. \n\n\n\nAward-winning Portland\, Maine singer-songwriter Connor Garvey and acclaimed pianist/composer Ben Cosgrove have been making music together for years\, bringing an unusually dynamic combination of Garvey’s rhythmic\, soulful songwriting and Cosgrove’s richly textured\, landscape-inspired piano work to stages throughout New England and beyond. \n\n\n\nTheir collaboration has included concerts in Maine\, New Hampshire\, Massachusetts\, Vermont\, Colorado\, and beyond\, with notable appearances together at venues including One Longfellow Square in Portland\, The Word Barn in Exeter\, and Stone Cottage Studios in Boulder. They have also shared the stage at festivals and special events\, including Connor’s Great Northeast Folk Festival in Portland. Their musical partnership has grown from individual appearances into a genuine creative collaboration\, with Cosgrove performing and recording with Garvey and becoming part of the larger musical world surrounding Garvey’s albums and live shows. \n\n\n\nIn concert\, the pairing offers something more than two artists taking turns onstage. Garvey’s intimate\, humorous\, deeply human songs provide the narrative center\, while Cosgrove’s inventive piano playing adds color\, movement\, atmosphere\, and surprise. The result is a show that can move effortlessly from quiet reflection to rhythmic energy\, with plenty of conversation\, spontaneity\, and musical interplay along the way. \n\n\n\nConnor Garvey & Ben Cosgrove bring years of friendship\, collaboration\, and shared stages to every performance—a meeting of songwriter and composer that feels both carefully crafted and completely in the moment \n\n\n\nConnor Garvey: \n\n\n\nConnor Garvey is an award-winning singer-songwriter from Portland\, Maine\, whose music lives at the intersection of thoughtful folk\, rhythmic acoustic rock\, and deeply human storytelling. With a career spanning more than two decades\, Garvey has built a reputation as an engaging performer\, accomplished guitarist\, and songwriter unafraid to explore life’s heavier questions without losing his sense of humor\, hope\, or wonder. \n\n\n\nA winner of the Kerrville New Folk\, Rocky Mountain Folks Fest\, SolarFest\, Wildflower Arts & Music Festival\, and Maine Songwriters Association competitions\, Garvey was also voted the Most Wanted Artist at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival and named one of SiriusXM’s top new singer-songwriters. His performances have taken him to major folk festivals and listening rooms across the country\, sharing stages with artists including John Gorka\, Ellis Paul\, David Wilcox\, Catie Curtis\, Brett Dennen\, Storyhill\, and The Ballroom Thieves. \n\n\n\nGarvey’s eighth album\, Another End of a Year\, marked a particularly mature chapter in his songwriting. The Portland Press Herald praised its “first-rate songwriting with equally solid vocals and a tapestry of keen musicianship\,” while Glide Magazine called it “his most powerful record yet\,” highlighting Garvey’s ability to write lyrics that reach “the core of some of our most vulnerable feelings.” The Maine Edge described the album as “simply top-tier material” and “another example of a Maine artist deserving of a global profile.” Americana UK summed it up more simply: “This is quality song-craft from a richly experienced\, acclaimed musician.” \n\n\n\nThat depth is balanced by a performer’s natural ability to connect. The Portland Press Herald’s Aimsel Ponti captured something central to Garvey’s appeal\, writing that he “proves you can be optimistic and self-aware without being boring.” The Portland Phoenix’s Sam Pfiefle urged listeners to “STOP AND LISTEN\,” describing Garvey as something like “a cross between Paul Simon and Rufus Wainwright\,” while No Depression praised the creative spark that makes his live performances continually surprising. \n\n\n\nGarvey’s songs are ultimately about connection: the stories we tell ourselves\, the moments that change us\, the people who help us through\, and the possibility of finding meaning—and even joy—in the middle of it all. Whether performing solo or with the musicians who have formed the backbone of his recordings for years\, he brings audiences into that shared space between the last note and the applause\, where a good song becomes something more than entertainment. \n\n\n\nBased in Portland\, Maine\, Connor Garvey continues to write\, record\, perform\, and lead songwriting workshops\, carrying forward a simple belief that has animated his career from the beginning: a song can make us pay closer attention—to ourselves\, to one another\, and to the world around us. \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBen Cosgrove:\n\n\n\nBen Cosgrove is a traveling composer-performer whose music explores themes of landscape\, place\, and environment. Described by the Boston Globe as “a sonic plein-air painter… [using] his piano as a paintbrush\,” Ben has performed in every U.S. state except for Delaware\, collaborated with groups ranging from rock bands to research scientists\, contributed music to several radio and film projects (including the recent Ken Burns documentary The American Buffalo)\, and held residencies and fellowships with institutions including NASA\, Acadia National Park\, White Mountain National Forest\, Isle Royale National Park\, Harvard University\, Middlebury College\, the New England National Scenic Trail\, the Schmidt Ocean Institute\, the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife & Fish Refuge\, the Connecticut River Museum\, and the Sitka Center for Art & Ecology. \n\n\n\nBen’s music has been called “beautiful and fascinating” (The Maine Edge)\, “deeply impressive” (Independent Clauses)\, and “immediately evocative and fully arresting… brim[ming] with technical mastery and emotional capital” (Seven Days). Yankee Magazine calls his music “quintessentially American\, omnivorous\, and democratic\,” and Sound of Boston has described him as “an expert at painting sonic portraits of curious\, unexpected places.” His latest album\, Topograph\, a collection of sixteen new pieces inspired by land-shaping processes around the country\, was released in early 2026. \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram

SUMMARY:Hank Heaven
DESCRIPTION:Doors open an hour before showtime.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nADVANCE PRICING: $20 (+ fees)\n\n\n\nDAY OF SHOW PRICING: $25 (+ fees)\n\n\n\nAll surcharges and member discounts will be calculated at checkout.\n\n\n\nClick Here to learn how our ticket surcharge supports OLS.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHank Heaven’s third EP\, Welterweight\, marks a new chapter for the New York songwriter and guitarist. Recorded at Sugar Mountain in Brooklyn with producer Phil Weinrobe (Big Thief\, Billie Marten\, Tomberlin) and a band including El Kempner of Palehound\, Núria Graham\, Sean Mullins\, Mike Helderman\, and Adam Brisbin\, the record puts Hank’s songwriting front and center. After years spent touring as a guitarist with swing bands and working alongside artists including Samia and Del Water Gap\, Hank began releasing their own music with 2022’s Call Me Hank\, followed by Loaded Dice two years later. \n\n\n\nOn Welterweight\, Hank strips away much of the processing and electronics of their earlier work in favor of direct\, largely live recordings with very few overdubs. The songs capture life and love in New York through sharp\, specific details: bad landlords\, bodegas\, arguments\, new relationships\, sobriety\, and the complicated process of growing up. Hank’s fingerpicked acoustic guitar and unadorned voice open “I Wanna Be Your Man\,” while elsewhere they step away from the instrument entirely\, letting the songs and the band take the lead. \n\n\n\nWith the lyrical detail of The Mountain Goats\, flashes of Bill Callahan’s wry humor\, and an instinctive sense of melody\, Hank has grown into a candid and confident songwriter. Welterweight finds them looking at where they’ve been while moving decisively forward\, both personally and creatively\, resulting in a vivid snapshot of a young artist finding their footing. \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram

SUMMARY:Olivia Barton
DESCRIPTION:Doors open an hour before showtime.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nADVANCE PURCHASE: $20 (+ fees)\n\n\n\nDAY OF SHOW: $25 (+ fees)\n\n\n\nAll surcharges and member discounts will be calculated at checkout.\n\n\n\nClick Here to learn how our ticket surcharge supports OLS.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOlivia Barton writes songs that walk the line between unfiltered and refined. Musically proficient like Joni Mitchell and Pinegrove\, Barton writes music that is emotionally cutting like Sufjan Stevens and Fiona Apple. With reverence for the craft of songwriting\, Barton writes and sings like she speaks: unapologetic\, yet approachable. As a live performer\, Barton is known for quieting a room with just her voice and guitar\, turning crowds into confidants. Having shared stages with Lizzy McAlpine\, Madi Diaz\, Field Medic\, Searows\, and others\, her songs carry what folk music has always carried: emotion\, memory\, simple truth. \n\n\n\nHer 2022 album\, This is a Good Sign\, produced by Collin Pastore and Jake Finch (Lucy Dacus\, Ashe)\, led to a co-write with Lizzy McAlpine on “Older” and an invitation to support McAlpine’s 2023 North American tour. That same year\, Barton co-wrote “if i were a fish” with her partner corook and the song reached millions; the New York Times called it “a forgotten track off the Juno soundtrack.” \n\n\n\nBarton’s latest album\, For Myself and For You\, was co-produced by Sam Skinner of Pinegrove in Brooklyn throughout 2024 released fall of 2025\, and toured in early 2026. Skinner calls Olivia “a true visionary of a songwriter and a force of nature.” Built from full live takes\, the studio album is as intimate and energetic as hearing Olivia play in the room with you. \n\n\n\nBarton recently completed work on a project with frequent collaborator Annika Bennett called Whale Songz. The recent EP\, released in summer of 2026\, features Leith Ross and Lennon Stella. \n\n\n\n“I make something permanent out of temporary feelings\, public time capsules of my evolving inner life\,” Barton says. “I think that’s brave\, and I’m glad I’m stupid enough to do it.” \n\n\n\nWebsite | Instagram

Immersed in a scene that included icons like Stan Rogers and Tom Paxton\, he began writing and performing his own songs. Gorka’s powerful baritone and poignant songwriting earned early acclaim\, especially after winning the New Folk Award at the Kerrville Folk Festival in 1984. His debut album I Know (Red House Records) was followed by five celebrated albums on High Street Records\, and his music drew praise from Rolling Stone as “the preeminent male singer/songwriter of the new folk movement.” He toured extensively in the U.S. and Europe\, with artists such as Nanci Griffith and Mary Chapin Carpenter\, and his songs were covered by many prominent performers. \n\n\n\nIn 1998\, Gorka returned to Red House Records\, embracing a more personal\, roots-driven approach. Albums like After Yesterday\, The Company You Keep\, and Writing in the Margins deepened his catalog with stories shaped by family life and decades on the road. Collaborators have included Ani DiFranco\, Patty Larkin\, and Lucy Kaplansky. His 11th studio album\, So Dark You See\, is among his most acclaimed\, and his work continues to resonate through national broadcasts and documentaries\, such as the inclusion of his song “Where No Monument Stands” in Every War Has Two Losers. \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram

SUMMARY:Kelsey Waldon
DESCRIPTION:Doors open an hour before showtime.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nADVANCE PURCHASE: $20 (+ fees)\n\n\n\nDAY OF SHOW: $25 (+ fees)\n\n\n\nAll surcharges and member discounts will be calculated at checkout.\n\n\n\nClick Here to learn how our ticket surcharge supports OLS.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn the six years since signing to John Prine’s Oh Boy Records as the label’s first new artist in 15 years\, Kelsey Waldon has earned wide praise for her deeply authentic songwriting and fiercely independent approach to country music. Raised in the rural community of Monkey’s Eyebrow\, Kentucky\, Waldon has built a career rooted in where she comes from while continuing to push herself forward\, earning fans on headline tours and sharing stages with artists including Tyler Childers\, Charley Crockett\, Robert Earl Keen\, Margo Price\, and Lucinda Williams. \n\n\n\nOn her new album\, Every Ghost\, Waldon turns inward\, confronting addiction\, grief\, generational trauma\, family\, and the complicated relationship we have with our past selves. Recorded at Southern Grooves in Memphis with her band\, The Muleskinners\, the nine-song collection is filled with what Waldon calls “hard-earned healing\,” balancing compassion for the people we once were with the courage it takes to break old cycles and move forward. \n\n\n\nThat spirit runs throughout Every Ghost\, from the deeply personal “Comanche” and the family reflections of “My Kin” to “Tiger Lilies\,” a tribute to Waldon’s late grandmother and the traditions that keep loved ones close. The album closes with a cover of Hazel Dickens’ “Ramblin’ Woman\,” reinforcing the independence and fearlessness that have long defined Waldon’s work. It’s a record about making peace with your ghosts without forgetting where you came from\, and emerging on the other side stronger for having faced them. \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram

SUMMARY:AJ Lee & Blue Summit with special guests The Cody Sisters
DESCRIPTION:Doors open an hour before showtime.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nADVANCE PURCHASE: $27\n\n\n\nAT THE DOOR: $32\n\n\n\nAll surcharges and member discounts will be calculated at checkout.\n\n\n\nClick Here to learn how our ticket surcharge supports OLS.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAJ Lee & Blue Summit are an award-winning\, energetic\, charming\, and technically jaw-dropping band quickly rising on the national roots music scene. Originally based in Santa Cruz\, California\, the group met as teenagers\, picking and jamming together as kids at local bluegrass festivals until one day\, they decided they would be a band. After almost a decade on the road\, they have established themselves as one of the most exciting and dynamic groups in Bluegrass. \n\n\n\nThe band is AJ Lee on mandolin\, fiddler Jan Purat\, Sullivan Tuttle on guitar\, and Sean Newman on Bass. The band carries that youthful\, festival-parking-lot energy with them still today\, but at the same time there’s a genuine ease and confidence to their music making. Their critically acclaimed third studio album City Of Glass was released on Signature Sounds records in 2024. 2025 saw the release of a series of covers featuring guests such as Lindsay Lou\, Trey Hensley\, Ahn Phung and Kyle Tuttle called Cover to Cover V.1.  \n\n\n\nCover to Cover V1 explores the wide variety of musical interests and influences that have helped AJ Lee & Blue Summit develop their unique sound as a band. “Tear My Stillhouse Down”\, featuring guest vocals from Bluegrass and Americana powerhouse Lindsay Lou\, comes from one of AJ’s favorite singers and songwriters\, Gillian Welch. The band pays tribute to their California roots with a steaming Bluegrass version of New Riders of the Purple Sages “Glendale Train” featuring Molly Tuttle and Golden Highway’s own Kyle Tuttle (no relation!). Sully Tuttle\, Molly’s younger brother\, takes the lead on the early jazz burner “Who Walks In (When I Walk Out)” which features inspiring guest appearances from Grammy Award winning guitarist Trey Hensley and renowned flutist Ahn Phung. AJ takes back the lead on a striking rendition of the country classic “Takes One to Know One”. The EP closes out with former member Scott Gates taking the lead on his country ballad style rendition of The Monkees class and Shrek famous “I’m a Believer”.  \n\n\n\nAJ Lee & Blue Summit are an exemplary band so unconcerned with being remembered\, with being enshrined\, that they have gone about playing songs that will surely be held onto and cherished forever. \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Cody Sisters\n\n\n\nThe Cody Sisters band is the very heart of contemporary acoustic Folk and Bluegrass music in Colorado\, the United States and the UK. Their propulsive instrumental solos and warm harmonies combine to grip the listener. Along with their bass player Will Pavilonis\, sisters Megan (guitar\, mandolin\, vocals) and Maddie (guitar\, banjo\, vocals) have forged a new sound that has no equivalent match in the acoustic world today. \n\n\n\nIn May of 2023\, The Cody Sisters released their self-titled EP marking a new beginning for the band. It is their first release since parting ways with their former image of “young girls in a family band” and it portrays a sense of maturity and musical understanding that reveals a new dimension to their artistic expression. They set out to explore new sounds and styles while still holding true to their bluegrass roots\, and they have done just that. This new music is an invitation to connect\, to feel\, and to journey together through original lyrics and captivating instrumental arrangements.  \n\n\n\nThe Cody Sisters have a sound that is original\, exhilarating\, and heartwarming all at the same time. With strong ties to traditional American acoustic music\, they continue to stun their audiences both in the US and abroad. \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram

The Voices embrace a diversity of styles\, from big band jazz to post-bop\, from Brazilian jazz to the singer-songwriter repertoire of Paul Simon and Stevie Wonder\, to their own tuneful originals. In the beginning\, their live shows featured a compact rhythm section\, and they had no plans to perform with big bands or symphony orchestras. That changed in the fall of 1994 when the group was invited to sing two songs with the Count Basie Orchestra at Carnegie Hall.  \n\n\n\nThe Voices have multiple recordings with big bands and have developed a diverse and extensive library of arrangements that feature this sort of collaboration. For decades\, they have performed all over the world\, including concerts and tours with the WDR and SWR Big Bands in Germany\, the Metropole Orchestra in the Netherlands\, the USAF Airmen of Note\, Norway’s Trondheim Jazz Orchestra\, and many other notable orchestras\, including the Portland Jazz Orchestra.  \n\n\n\nNow\, after nearly four decades of concerts\, world tours\, 11 landmark albums under their own name\, and high-profile collaborations with international jazz masters\, this Grammy Award winning group will be performing with the Portland Jazz Orchestra as part of their Grand Finale tour. If you have not had the pleasure of seeing the New York Voices perform with PJO\, this show will be your last chance as the Voices will be “hanging up their mics” at the completion of this 2026 tour. \n\n\n\n“We want to go out on a high note\,” said Darmon. “This band has taken us all over the world\, from intimate clubs\, to concert halls with big bands and symphony orchestras\, to international festivals where we’ve performed for thousands.  And it’s given us countless opportunities to work with many of the greatest names in jazz.In our final months as a group\, we’ll continue to travel the globe on our Grand Finale tour so that our fans will have one more chance to see and hear us live.” \n\n\n\nThe New York Voices and the Portland Jazz Orchestra will play one last show together. Please join them at the Westbrook Performing Arts Center\, 471 Stroudwater Street\, Westbrook\, ME 04092.  \n\n\n\nFree parking is available on site for patrons of the show! \n\n\n\nNew York Voices: Website | Facebook | Instagram  \n\n\n\nPJO: Website | Facebook | Instagram

SUMMARY:Sorcha Cribben-Merrill - MAKING TIME EP Release
DESCRIPTION:Doors open an hour before showtime.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nADVANCE GENERAL ADMISSION: $20 (+ fees)\n\n\n\nDAY OF SHOW: $25 (+ fees)\n\n\n\nAll surcharges and member discounts will be calculated at checkout.\n\n\n\nClick Here to learn how our ticket surcharge supports OLS.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe expressive range of singer-songwriter Sorcha Cribben-Merrill\, “one of Maine’s most versatile troubadours\,” according to Downeast Magazine\, is in peak form on her new EP\, Making Time. Her stirring lyrics\, signature vocal jazz charm\, and folk-pop guitar skills meet adventurous production in collaboration with Matt Appleton\, Grammy nominated music producer\, engineer and saxophonist\, and multi-instrumentalist from Vermont. \n\n\n\nThis five-song record encourages us to make time for rest amid the persistent pace of life. Each song navigates a different challenge\, yet is fueled by the same energy of possibility. Musically\, their multi-layered landscapes are shaped by moody bass lines\, bossa nova-inspired rhythms adorned by horns\, bright piano\, and introspective guitar. “Matt is a deeply thoughtful and inventive producer\,” Sorcha offers. “He isn’t afraid to disassemble a song so it can find a truer expression of itself\, or suggest ambitious vocal ideas that both harness and stretch beyond my natural strengths.” \n\n\n\nRaised by artists in rural coastal Maine\, Sorcha was buoyed by early musical explorations and weighed down by early childhood loss. By age 12\, songwriting became an empowering catalyst for self-expression. Once she discovered a song could surround grief in beauty and hold many emotions and perspectives at once\, she went on to study Music and Anthropology (BA\, Skidmore College)\, Music and Folklore (University College Cork\, Ireland)\, and Community Health Music (Berklee’s Music and Health Institute). \n\n\n\nEqually at home performing in folk festivals\, jazz clubs\, and intimate listening rooms\, Sorcha has opened for Grammy-nominated mandolinist Matt Flinner\, folk music icon Tom Rush\, and celebrated cellist & multi-instrumentalist Leyla McCalla. Performance highlights include Falcon Ridge Folk Festival (Emerging Artist)\, historic Club Passim in Cambridge\, MA\, Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield\, ME\, and Portland\, Maine’s State Theatre\, where she sang two original songs with The Fogcutters\, Maine’s contemporary big band. \n\n\n\nOn Making Time\, Sorcha invites us\, with the hard-won clarity of someone who’s struggled against strong currents\, to find a calmer cove in which to rest. \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram

SUMMARY:Mason Jennings
DESCRIPTION:Doors open an hour before showtime.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nADVANCE PURCHASE: $30 (+ fees)\n\n\n\nDAY OF SHOW: $40 (+ fees)\n\n\n\nAll surcharges and member discounts will be calculated at checkout.\n\n\n\nClick Here to learn how our ticket surcharge supports OLS.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“I love song craft\,” says Mason Jennings\, a longtime folksinger who has spent over two decades honing his craft both on stage and in the studio. “A song is like a boat on the water\, and you’re trying to make it float with as few pieces as possible. If you do it right\, a song can be very healing.” \n\n\n\nFor Jennings\, songwriting has always been about creating a personal connection\, both with his audience and with himself. Over the years\, he’s become known for his unpretentious\, emotive approach to folk music\, combining introspective lyrics with acoustic melodies. He’s drawn comparisons to the greats of the genre\, including Nick Drake\, John Fahey\, and Tom Waits\, but Jennings’ sound is distinctly his own\, one that blends vulnerability with strength\, simplicity with complexity. \n\n\n\nBorn in Honolulu and raised in Pittsburgh\, Jennings’ musical journey began with a move to Minneapolis in the late 1990s\, where he released his debut album and quickly gained attention for his raw\, authentic sound. His contemporary take on classic folk resonated with listeners and fellow musicians alike\, earning him fans like Jack Johnson and Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse. Over the years\, his steady output of albums has solidified his reputation as one of the leading voices in the folk and Americana scenes. \n\n\n\nThough his early work focused on solo acoustic arrangements\, Jennings has also embraced more adventurous\, genre-crossing projects. His collaboration with the synth-based supergroup Painted Shield marked a departure from his usual style\, incorporating electronic elements and a more expansive sound. “Being in that band really freed me up as a solo artist\,” he reflects. “It allowed me to experiment and return to the acoustic\, stripped-back music that first inspired me.” \n\n\n\nAt his core\, Jennings is an artist constantly evolving\, and his music reflects a deep personal journey. Themes of healing\, growth\, and self-acceptance have been central to his songwriting\, especially in recent years. Following a challenging period of personal upheaval\, Jennings explored themes of trauma\, recovery\, and reconciling his past in his 2018 album Songs From When We Met. His music became a way to process his experiences and find peace within himself\, a journey that continues today. \n\n\n\nFor Jennings\, songwriting is about much more than just creating music. It is a path toward emotional clarity and personal transformation. “I’ve learned that it’s OK to be my real self\,” he shares. “These songs reflect the struggle to take care of myself and be the person I truly am. It’s about accepting where I come from\, and working to heal old wounds\, so I can move forward in a healthier way.” \n\n\n\nAs he continues to write and record\, Jennings remains deeply connected to his roots in folk music while embracing new textures and ideas. His work\, whether with a band or solo\, reflects an ongoing exploration of sound\, emotion\, and the human experience. For him\, the process of creating is just as important as the final result\, an ever-evolving conversation between the artist and his audience\, and between the artist and himself. \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram

Growing up in the small town of St. Albans\, Thomas was immersed in music from an early age—whether it was listening to Q106.5 Country Music and Country Gold Saturday Night with his dad\, or performing in his school band. \n\n\n\nWith a sound that blends Country\, Roots\, and Americana\, Thomas crafts songs that feel like heart-to-heart conversations. His influences range from modern icons like Chris Stapleton and Tyler Childers to timeless storytellers like John Denver. His lyrics reflect the grit and grace of everyday life\, often exploring how music serves as therapy—a way to process life’s challenges while honoring his Maine roots. \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n🌱 More About LEAF (Longfellow Emerging Artist Fellowship):\n\n\n\nAs part of the Longfellow Emerging Artist Fellowship (LEAF)\, each of our 2026 Fellows will host one of One Longfellow Square’s monthly Open Mic nights.

A pioneer of the 1960s folk revival and a key voice in the genre’s resurgence in the ’80s and ’90s\, he’s known for his warm\, resonant voice\, distinctive guitar style\, and sharp sense of humor. His concerts are equal parts music and storytelling—soulful ballads\, gritty blues\, and moments of laughter woven together into a journey through the heart of folk. James Taylor has called him “one of my main influences\,” while Garth Brooks has named him among his top inspirations. \n\n\n\nBeyond his own music\, Rush has been a lifelong champion of emerging artists. Still touring and writing today\, Rush continues to captivate audiences around the world\, bringing people together through songs that balance wit\, wisdom\, and the timeless power of live performance. \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram

SUMMARY:GoldenOak with special guest Rachel Sumner & Traveling Light
DESCRIPTION:THIS IS FOR FRIDAY – NIGHT ONE\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors open an hour before showtime.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nADVANCE PURCHASE: $20 (+ fees)\n\n\n\nDAY OF SHOW: $25 (+ fees)\n\n\n\nAll surcharges and member discounts will be calculated at checkout.\n\n\n\nClick Here to learn how our ticket surcharge supports OLS.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGoldenOak’s music is rooted in the natural landscape. Their songs move in an organic\, grounding direction\, shaped by rich\, folk-influenced sibling harmony. Fronted by siblings Zak and Lena Kendall\, the Maine-based band has built a steady and growing fan base through a sound that feels both intimate and quietly powerful. This approach is clearly reflected in their new album\, All the Light in Autumn. \n\n\n\nThe record deepens GoldenOak’s sound\, building on their indie folk foundation with the addition of drum machines and synths\, while keeping folk-influenced vocal harmonies front and center. Lyrically\, rather than offering easy answers\, All the Light in Autumn invites listeners to slow down and reflect on responsibility\, connection\, and care for the places we live in. The album artwork mirrors this approach\, with nine birds representing the nine songs and the individual stories within them. \n\n\n\nBeyond their recorded work\, GoldenOak tours nationally and has shared the stage with artists such as Hiss Golden Messenger\, Sierra Hull\, and Blitzen Trapper. They also host their own music festival in their hometown of Farmington\, Maine. Under the Oaks Music Festival is a two-day event featuring live music\, workshops\, and camping along the Sandy River. Now in its fourth year\, the festival has become a pillar of the community that the band is building. \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRachel Sumner & Traveling Light\n\n\n\nFresh off their Telluride Bluegrass Band Contest win\, Rachel Sumner & Traveling Light are a Boston-based string band making music that blends folk tradition and highlight feminist storytelling. At the center is Sumner’s songwriting—rooted in history\, myth\, and personal reckoning—carried by close harmonies\, upright bass\, acoustic guitar\, and fiddle. The trio features Kat Wallace on fiddle and vocals and Karl Henry on upright bass and vocals\, whose playing brings both tension and tenderness to the sound. \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram
