SUMMARY:CANCELED: 98.9 WCLZ presents: Joe P with special guest Cece Coakley
DESCRIPTION:This show has been cancelled. All tickets will be refunded to their point of purchase. \n\n\n\nfor Joe P: \n\n\n\n“I’m so sorry to do this\, but due to an extremely important family matter I am no longer going to be able to go on tour in June. For anybody who was planning to come to one of these shows\, I apologize for the inconvenience and I’m already figuring out how to come back as soon as possible. Thank you for your support and for buying a ticket in this economy. I have a terrifying amount of new music that needs to be released so at least we’ll have some new songs to sing together next time I see you.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoe P makes the kind of indie rock that still trusts a guitar hook to do real emotional labor. The New Jersey songwriter has written and recorded the bulk of his work in his basement studio over many late night sessions. Across Emily Can’t Sing\, French Blonde\, and his debut album Garden State Vampire\, he has sharpened his writing into something both ragged and precise: songs like “Fighting in the Car\,” “Off My Mind\,” “Shadow in the Sun\,” and “Birthday Baby (The Girl with No Smile)” feel diaristic without becoming slack\, polished without sanding off their nerves. His rise has unfolded in parallel with tours and dates alongside Cold War Kids\, Rainbow Kitten Surprise\, Spacey Jane\, Joywave\, Good Neighbours\, beabadoobee\, and Matt Maeson\, while his recorded work has also intersected with figures like Mt Joy and K.Flay. Across festival dates at Lollapalooza\, ACL\, and Sea.Hear.Now\, and headline shows across the US\, he has brought a massive rock energy to stages everywhere. After the release of Garden State Vampire – Stripped\, he is embarking on a solo headline tour\, bringing the personal\, intimate performances from his social media to the stage for the first time. \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram

SUMMARY:Sally Baby's Silver Dollars
DESCRIPTION:Doors open an hour before showtime.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nADVANCE PURCHASE: $20 ( + $4.50 service fee)\n\n\n\nAT THE DOOR: $25\n\n\n\nAll surcharges and member discounts will be calculated at checkout.\n\n\n\nClick Here to learn how our ticket surcharge supports OLS.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou could draw thousands of lines on a map of America that preceded the beginnings of Sally Baby’s Silver Dollars; strands that zigzag across the earth from New York to San Francisco to Standing Rock. Yet each line inevitably leads back to one place- New Orleans. \n\n\n\nSal Geloso has been living and playing music in New Orleans for over 17 years\, and his music echoes through the street corners to the coffee shops\, bar rooms and fire-lit swamps. Sal’s songbook is a rich aural tradition that traces a history of friendships\, love and loss\, and embodies the boldness of living a life that puts art at the complete forefront of existence. \n\n\n\nSally Baby is backed by his Silver Dollars\, a band comprised of collaborators and friends who are all in-demand musicians in and outside of New Orleans. They each bring an area of expertise that breathes further life into Sal’s music\, fleshing out the influences of Early Jazz\, New Orleans RnB and Brass Band music. They are: Zach Serlet (Bass)\, Steve DeTroy (Keys)\, Nathan Wolman (Trumpet)\, Oliver Tuttle (Trombone) and James Beaumont (Saxophone). Together\, the band placed silver in the 2024 Tiny Desk Competition with their video for the song ‘I’ve Got No More Tears Left To Cry’\, and the song was featured on NPR’s national show ‘Morning Edition’\, along with an interview with Sal. \n\n\n\nAlong with national recognition\, Sally Baby has had a surge of local popularity and was featured at both the French Quarter Festival\, the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival\, Savannah Music Festival.   The band will also be touring extensively in 2026\, with notable Shows at The Green River Festival\, Celebrate Brooklyn\, Shakori Hills Music Festival and many others. \n\n\n\nWebsite | Instagram

On June 24\, the stage of One Longfellow Square will glow with flickering flames as Blue Violin takes the spotlight for an unforgettable one-night-only concert. \n\n\n\nThis is no ordinary performance. It’s a bold\, genre-bending tribute to classic rock—where live violin loops collide with smoke\, light\, and epic arrangements. Blue Violin shatters musical boundaries\, transforming familiar hits into something fierce\, beautiful\, and entirely new. \n\n\n\nThis is not just a tribute show. This is Blue Violin — a genre-defying\, conservatory-trained virtuoso who has lit up stages from Carnegie Hall to the Sydney Opera House\, and now brings his world tour to Australia\, Europe\, Asia\, and across the U.S. \n\n\n\nOften described as “Trans-Siberian Orchestra meets Lindsey Stirling\,” Blue Violin delivers fiery virtuosity and cinematic flair in every performance. \n\n\n\nExpect a high-voltage evening featuring dramatic reimaginings of: \n\n\n\n🎻 Thunderstruck – AC/DC🎻 Free Bird – Lynyrd Skynyrd🎻 Devil Went Down to Georgia – The Charlie Daniels Band🎻 Kashmir – Led Zeppelin🎻 Footloose – Kenny Loggins🎻 Stairway to Heaven – Led Zeppelin \n\n\n\nWith each piece built live on stage using looped violin and atmospheric soundscapes\, this candlelit concert invites the audience into a space where tradition meets rebellion—and every note resonates deeper in the glow of  candlelight. \n\n\n\nPraise for Blue Violin: \n\n\n\n“The best rock and roll violinist of a generation.” – Music Makers “Electrifying.” – Boston Ballet “A once-in-a-lifetime experience.” – Peoria Journal Star “Mature depth and musical prowess.” – Tower Records \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram

Father and son\, Phil and Lyle have been singing together for as long as Lyle can remember. Phil is the reason Lyle became a musician\, and Lyle is the reason Phil is in therapy. With Lyle living in Colorado\, these nights happen once or twice a year if they’re lucky\, and they’re exactly what you’d hope: two voices built for each other\, trading songs\, swapping verses\, telling stories\, and opening up the Divinsky family songbook. Originals\, covers\, harmonies decades in the making. Raw\, honest\, goofy\, and heartwarming\, it’s the kind of evening that only happens when these two share a stage. \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram

These shows are an opportunity to experience incredible emerging talent up close\, with our longtime members enjoying preferred seating at our intimate café-style tables. It’s a great way to support independent artists while strengthening the musical community at One Longfellow Square! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHarrison Goodell is a singer-songwriter from the Seacoast of New Hampshire\, weaving indie-folk songs that feel like home – restless\, familiar\, and always shifting. Rooted in vivid storytelling\, his music draws from the quiet hum of suburban streets\, the vastness of the White Mountains\, and the ache of trying to hold onto something fleeting. With raw vocals and emotive arrangements\, he captures the tension between nostalgia and growth\, staying and leaving\, love and loss. His sound\, while distinctly his own\, lives somewhere between anthemic folk and confessional songwriting\, earning comparisons to artists like Noah Kahan and The Lumineers. \n\n\n\nHarrison’s dedication to his craft has led to sold-out shows and opening slots for artists including Sara Bareilles\, JP Saxe\, and The Lone Bellow. Named one of the Northeast’s top emerging artists\, he was awarded a grant from The Portsmouth Music Hall to further support his artistic development. With new music on the way and consistent touring\, 2026 is shaping up to be a defining year. \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFerester:\n\n\n\nFerester is the moniker of Scottish-American artist\, Spencer O’Grady. Hailing from the sleepy town of Chapel of Garioch\, nestled in the Scottish countryside where snow-capped hills carry birdssong in a magically serene synthesis of peace and nature\, Ferester’s music transports the listener to a similarly infused world. \n\n\n\nFacebook | Instagram

SUMMARY:Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears
DESCRIPTION:Doors open an hour before showtime.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nADVANCE PURCHASE: Total ticket price at checkout is $25\n\n\n\nAT THE DOOR: $30\n\n\n\nAll surcharges and member discounts will be calculated at checkout.\n\n\n\nClick Here to learn how our ticket surcharge supports OLS.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBlack Joe Lewis is the realest motherfucker there is. When Covid sidelined his touring this past year\, he started laying concrete to help support his baby mama and his kid. That’s fuckin’ real. \n\n\n\nWhen Joe and his band\, the Honeybears\, popped onto the national stage over a decade ago\, many critics embraced him—but there were still some who said they hadn’t paid their dues. Joe’s still here. Still going. Still cashing checks and snapping necks. The dues of hard work; the delirious heights of the industry\, along with the disappointments and low-hanging fruit—through it all\, Joe’s only honed his mastery over gut bucket blues guitar and his true voice. \n\n\n\nIt’s a vital\, distinctly American voice that never anticipated the attention it received\, never went looking for it either. It just started happening. The garage\, the blues\, the propulsive\, synergistic live performances that live somewhere between James Brown\, Lightnin’ Hopkins\, and MC5—those things were there from the beginning\, and they only really make sense in a live room\, not a press release. \n\n\n\nSharon Jones\, Charles Bradley\, Cedric Burnside\, Lightnin Malcolm\, The Dirtbombs\, Detroit Cobras\, The Strange Boys—a roll call of some of the most influential soul and garage acts of the last 25 years\, and bands Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears have shared countless bills with. Has that whole soul-blues-garage explosion been commodified or folded into pop rock? Sure. But the ground floor was a vital space for people who like guitars and grease\, and at this point\, Black Joe Lewis is one of the last still standing from it. Last of a dying breed. Or maybe a missing link. Does that make him a throwback? A throwback to a throwback? It’d be easy to say so—but nah. Joe’s just doing his thing\, same as he always has\, regardless of what’s coming down the pipe. A stone-cold original\, and a veteran at that. \n\n\n\nIf you like whistling in your music and floppy-hat\, shaky-kneed crooning\, you might not get it—but that’s fine. There are plenty of intrepid\, degenerate weirdos who do. Those are the people Joe cares about. Not the glad-handing set. Not the fair-weather crowd chasing whatever’s hot. \n\n\n\nLike the title of his last album says\, “the difference between me and you” is Joe drawing a line between the wannabes and the ones who actually have the blues—whatever the hell that is. Joe’s concrete-pouring boss is gonna miss him. \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram

DESCRIPTION:Doors open an hour before showtime.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nADVANCE PURCHASE: $25\n\n\n\nAT THE DOOR: $35\n\n\n\nAll surcharges and member discounts will be calculated at checkout.\n\n\n\nClick Here to learn how our ticket surcharge supports OLS.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nALASH are masters of Tuvan throat singing (xöömei)\, a remarkable technique for singing multiple pitches at the same time. What distinguishes this group from earlier generations of Tuvan throat singers is the subtle infusion of modern influences into their traditional music. One can find complex harmonies\, western instruments\, and contemporary song forms in Alash’s music\, but its overall sound and spirit remain decidedly Tuvan. \n\n\n\nTrained in traditional Tuvan music since childhood\, the Alash musicians studied at Kyzyl Arts College just as Tuva was beginning to open up to the West. They formed a traditional ensemble and won multiple awards for traditional throat singingin international xöömei competitions\, both as an ensemble and as individuals. At the same time\, they paid close attention to new trends coming out of the West. They have borrowed newideas that mesh well with the sound and feel of traditionalTuvan music\, but they have never sacrificed the integrity of their own heritage in an effort to make their music more hip. \n\n\n\nAlash first toured the U.S. under the sponsorship of the OpenWorld Leadership program of the Library of Congress and the National Endowment for the Arts. Since then they have returned many times\, to the delight of American audiences. The Washington Post described their music as “utterly stunning\,” quipping that after the performance“audience members picked their jaws up off the floor.” \n\n\n\nAlash enjoys collaborating with musicians of all stripes. Since their early partnership with the legendary Sun Ra Arkestra\, they have joined forces with musicians across the spectrum—from country to classical to jazz to beatboxing. Alash appeared as guest artists on Béla Fleck & the Flecktones’ Grammy-winning holiday CD Jingle All the Way (2008). They joined Chicago’s innovative Fifth House Ensemble in a groundbreaking concert series called Sonic Meditations\, and later were part of a “global jam band” which recorded the soundtrack for the video game The Pathless. Most recently\, Bady-Dorzhu Ondar teamed up with beatboxer Shodekeh in a live recording of original Tuvan songs filtered through the creative artistry of hip hop musicians. \n\n\n\nBeyond performing\, Alash has a passion for teaching and promoting understanding between cultures. Their tours often include workshops in which they introduce Tuvan music to students in primary\, middle and high schools\, colleges\, universities\, and music conservatories. Children as young as 8 and 9 have learned to throat-sing. One inspired student exclaimed\, “Alash opened my eyes to a whole new world!” \n\n\n\nAlash albums: Alash Live at the Enchanted Garden (2006)\, Alash (2007)\, Buura (2011)\, Achai (2015\, re-released on Smithsonian Folkways in 2017)\, Meni Mana (2020)\, Embodiments by Bady-Dorzhu Ondar with Shodekeh and hip hop artists (2022). \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook

SUMMARY:Sam Burchfield
DESCRIPTION:Doors open an hour before showtime.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nADVANCE PURCHASE: $25\n\n\n\nAT THE DOOR: $35\n\n\n\nAll surcharges and member discounts will be calculated at checkout.\n\n\n\nClick Here to learn how our ticket surcharge supports OLS.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSam Burchfield was raised in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of South Carolina\, where he learned to play and learned to write. His youth was steeped in the mossy creeks and deep ravines of those ancient woods\, and they imbued him with the gift of song. Now in his thirties\, Burchfield raises a small family in the North Georgia mountains and continues to find inspiration in the rivers and ridges of Southern Appalachia. \n\n\n\nHis latest album ‘Me & My Religion’ was produced with his touring band\, The Scoundrels. It is the first collaboration for the group after years of paying dues to the highway. Colin Agnew (drums)\, Trygve Myers (bass)\, and Ryan Plumley (guitar) accompanied Burchfield to Muscle Shoals\, Alabama along with Nashville producer\, Rachael Moore\, to record the album of 7 days. \n\n\n\nThis 10 track album is almost equal parts Americana\, psychedelia\, indie folk\, and Southern rock. All these flavors combine to support the album’s main theme. As seasoned listeners will expect\, Burchfield’s lyrics are far from on the nose\, as the declarative title would suggest. ‘Me & My Religion’ is an exploration of mankind’s toil for meaning in a world of vapid consumerism and commercialism – one in which we have become deaf to our own harmony with nature. Despite the weight of these ideas\, the album feels like a lighthearted sojourn through the backwoods of our imagination. \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram

SUMMARY:Terrance Simien & The Zydeco Experience (rescheduled from 2/20)
DESCRIPTION:This show was rescheduled from February 20th. All originally purchased tickets are honored for the new date.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors open an hour before showtime.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nADVANCE PURCHASE: Total ticket price at checkout is $42.00 (inclusive of $7.00 service fee)\n\n\n\nAT THE DOOR: $45\n\n\n\nAll surcharges and member discounts will be calculated at checkout.\n\n\n\nClick Here to learn how our ticket surcharge supports OLS.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhen it comes to Creole culture and Zydeco music\, two-time GRAMMY Award-winning Terrance Simien and the Zydeco Experience embody the past\, present\, and future of American roots music. This six-piece\, multigenerational\, and multicultural band is a powerhouse of formally trained and deeply seasoned musicians. Their hypnotic blend of zydeco roots – reggae – soul\, and New Orleans jazz brass band – is expertly crafted to move your spirit and lift your soul. \n\n\n\nFor more than four decades\, Simien & company have toured across more than 40 countries and performed over 9\,000 concerts worldwide. Their groundbreaking educational program\, Creole for Kidz and the History of Zydeco\, was developed 25 years ago to introduce K–12 and college students to Creole culture and zydeco’s rich history. This dynamic live performance and companion study guide have raised the cultural IQ of more than 250\,000 students\, teachers\, and families around the globe. \n\n\n\nSimien’s music has been featured in multiple major films\, and the band has made numerous on-screen appearances. A career highlight came when zydeco music was featured in Disney’s The Princess and the Frog—the first Disney film to feature a Black princess. Simien collaborated with the legendary Randy Newman on the film’s zydeco song and was thrilled to hear the word zydeco spoken on screen for the very first time in a Disney production. In 2024\, the band recorded music for the new Disney theme park ride based on the film\, now open in both U.S. parks. Disney’s massive global footprint has been a game-changer for amplifying zydeco music\, a vibrant Louisiana-rooted genre blending Creole and R&B influences\, to audiences far beyond the bayou.  \n\n\n\nDEEPER DIVE INTO DISNEY + ZYDECO: Disney parks drew 157.5 million visitors in 2023 alone (per the Themed Entertainment Association)\, with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure projected to add millions more annually. That’s direct exposure to zydeco for families\, tourists\, and superfans—many encountering the genre for the first time amid the ride’s immersive New Orleans vibe. Disney+ streams the film and related content to 150+ million subscribers\, compounding the effect. \n\n\n\nTheir music has also appeared in national television ads\, and they’ve been featured in major media outlets including Rolling Stone\, Billboard\, and The New York Times. Over the years\, Simien has recorded and performed with Paul Simon\, Art Neville\, Dr. John\, Marcia Ball\, Dennis Quaid\, The Meters\, and many more. The band has shared stages with Los Lobos\, the late Robert Palmer\, and the Dave Matthews Band. And in one unforgettable moment at a Presidential Inauguration in Washington\, D.C.\, Stevie Wonder joined them on stage to play harmonica on one of their zydeco songs—a testament to their universal reach and joyful musical spirit. \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram

DESCRIPTION:Doors open an hour before showtime.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nADVANCE PURCHASE: Total ticket price at checkout is $30\n\n\n\nAT THE DOOR: $40\n\n\n\nAll surcharges and member discounts will be calculated at checkout.\n\n\n\nClick Here to learn how our ticket surcharge supports OLS.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAmericana and roots singer-songwriter Jackie Greene is a jack-of-all-trades and an artist who can croon over soulful piano ballads as much as he can shred a bluesy guitar solo\, like he did as the lead guitarist for The Black Crowes in 2013. A road warrior and musician’s musician\, Greene’s new EP The Modern Lives – Vol 2 (out October 2018 on Blue Rose Music) finds him at a new chapter in his life: his first months of fatherhood\, time off his relentless touring circuit\, and a cross-country move from Brooklyn to his birthplace of Northern California. This new collection of six original songs is a thematic extension of The Modern Lives – Vol 1 EP (released in 2017 on Blue Rose Music)\, imbued with a Brooklyn basement DIY feel and ethos. He is a student of American music\, transfixed upon its progression through time\, as well as how regional sounds fit in a contemporary context. Whereas Vol 1 saw Greene experiment with the Delta blues as a canvas for his examinations of modern society\, Vol 2 sees Greene embrace the sounds of the bluegrass and folk tapes of his youth. \n\n\n\nLead single “Crazy Comes Easy” showcases Greene’s dynamic\, multi-instrumental range as he plays slide guitar\, organ\, bass\, and percussion\, the guitar licks an appreciative nod to his time in The Black Crowes. Meanwhile\, “Good Old Bad Times” highlights Greene as the songwriter as he rattles off lines like\, “How can somebody find a future? / If they ain’t got a foothold in the past?” while taking a critical eye to the idea of nostalgia. Piano ballad “Victim Of The Crime” was one of Jackie’s oldest demos until the feel of these sessions gave him the tools to finish a song that\, in his words\, was written for his wife before she was his wife. While the title possesses a kind of melodrama\, the song itself is tender and heartfelt as he details love’s trials and tribulations. \n\n\n\nGreene partnered with Academy Award-nominated “king of indie animation” Bill Plympton for a series of music videos for The Modern Lives – Vol 1 that would eventually become an animated short film titled The Modern Lives. The film is currently making the rounds at film festivals where it has already won the Jury Award at the USA Film Festival in Dallas\, TX\, and the Grand Remi Award / Best in Show at WorldFest in Houston\, TX. The short is also being exhibited at the 71st Festival de Cannes/Court Metrage\, Melbourne International Animation Festival\, and ASIFA-East Festival\, amongst others. \n\n\n\nSince the release of his critically-acclaimed debut album Gone Wanderin’\, Greene has built an enduring audience through a relentless touring schedule with the likes of BB King\, Mark Knopfler\, Susan Tedeschi\, and Taj Mahal. He played lead guitar with The Black Crowes on their Layin’ Down With #13 World Tour\, recorded and toured with Trigger Hippy—his supergroup with Joan Osborne—and in the last four years performed over 300 shows of his own\, all while continuing to record and release his solo work. Greene is a frequent member of Phil Lesh & Friends and sits in with countless other artists\, including Tedeschi Trucks Band\, Govt Mule\, Mississippi All-Stars\, Amy Helm\, Steve Earle\, and Bob Weir. \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram
