Looking for a sweet treat for that special someone or just feel like treating yourself? Consider our Friendly Neighbor, Chocolats Passion, for locally made, artisanal, ethically sourced chocolates.
Chocolats Passion uses local cream and butter, organic citrus, and Guittard chocolate to create their edible works of art. All of their chocolate providers exceed Fair Trade standards, and their 2024 collection introduces five new chocolates including: Hot Honey, Orange Creamsicle, and Prickly Pear Mango in dark chocolate, and Crème de Poire and Thai Tea in milk chocolate.

Need new skis or a bike tune up? Visit our Friendly Neighbor on Congress Street, Gorham Bike & Ski, and support a locally owned small business! Jamie Wright opened Gorham Bike & Ski in downtown Gorham, Maine in 1995, and moved to Portland in 1997. Jamie and his friendly knowledgeable staff continue to serve customers with honesty and integrity, being named one of the nations Top 100 bicycle retailers (the only shop in Maine to do so) on more than one occasion.

Maine-based, family-owned hospitality group Uncommon Hospitality opened the beautiful Longfellow Hotel in May 2024 just a few blocks away from OLS and right across the street from sister property, The Francis. The Longfellow is the first independent full-service hotel to open in Portland in 20 years and is the namesake of famed Portland poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. With 48 residential-style rooms and suites, a café and bar offering distinct settings to suit any mood, and a luxurious spa that blends the traditional and the unexpected, The Longfellow delivers a fresh perspective that perfectly complements Portland’s unique and vibrant spirit.

Pai Men is a warm and friendly locally owned restaurant focusing on authentic Japanese ramen which they make by hand every day! The also have great cocktails, saké, and lots of local beers on tap.
Tandem Coffee Roasters
Need a little pep in your step the morning after a big night out at OLS? Grab a cup of coffee and a legendary loaded biscuit from our Friendly Neighbors, Tandem Coffee + Bakery.
Tandem Coffee Roasters was founded in 2012 and has since opened two locations in Portland: their James Beard nominated bakery cafe is a couple blocks down Congress Street from OLS, and their cozy roastery cafe is in East Bayside. Tandem offers a rotating list of single-origin coffees and seasonal blends. They feel passionate about sourcing at origin and working in partnership with small growers and specialty importers. And their baked goods simply cannot be beat!

Victoria Mansion is a much-loved Portland landmark, but its significance extends far beyond Maine. As an organization, their mission is to conserve, maintain, and restore a one-of-a-kind property and share its history with the public.
