Chris Barron is best known as the lead singer of the band Spin Doctors. What you maybe didn't know is that long before he was that goofy guy in the hat on MTV, he was an even goofier kid with an acoustic guitar. Chris plays nifty chords on an old Gibson to masterfully crafted songs that are poignant yet wistful and funny, all the while singing in a manner that's sweet and somewhat different from what you would expect if you only knew his hits, "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong" and "Two Princes". Live, his stage patter is almost as entertaining as his singing. A powerful story teller, at once hilarious and thought provoking, Chris sets up his songs with anecdotes from a life on the road, from opening for and encountering legends like the Rolling Stones to Polar expeditions. He says, "I don't really think about what I'm going to say beforehand. I just say stuff and if it goes over well, I say more stuff like that later." A founding member of a band that's loved by millions of people the round world over, Chris' solo shows have all the lyric poetry and singing virtuosity that Spin Doctors fans appreciate along with a range of expression and songwriting that will delight and surprise.
Portland native Will Bradford has built quite the resume over his 20 years in the music industry.
His band, the anti-genre indie pranksters SeepeopleS, have been a national touring staple since their inception in 2000. SeepeopleS have released 5 full length albums and 2 EPs including the most recent, the 'HATE' EP, which came out in the spring of 2017 on the band's own imprint, RascalZRecordZ. Over the years the band has built an army of underground followers who faithfully support the band's constant musical risk taking, socially conscious lyrics and sometimes harsh and honest songwriting. Previous albums have also included members of Morphine, Spearhead, Parliament/Funkadelic, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Tim Reynolds of the Dave Matthews Band, who Bradford and SeepeopleS have toured with regularly over the last decade and a half. SeepeopleS have shared the stage with an endless slew of notable acts throughout their career including Death Cab for Cutie, Franz Ferdinand, Cracker, Blues Traveler, Ben Harper, and the Presidents of the United States, as well as doing several national tours opening up solo for Tim Reynolds, to name a short few.
Since recovering from a decade plus long drug addiction to heroin and opiates and after a 3 year touring hiatus from 2012-2014, SeepeopleS has been on a tear, releasing a double album (Dead Souls Sessions -2015) and two EP's, 2016's 'LOVE,' and the current release, 'HATE,' (2017). In the past 13 months alone, the band has done three national tours and over 80K miles in the van, including two west coast tours and dates with Tim Reynolds and Kula Shaker. In conjunction with the 'HATE' release, the band struck a partnership with the legendary animator, Pete List, best known for his work on the hit MTV show, Celebrity Death Match, to release the highly politically charged video for the first single off the EP entitled, The New American Dream. Currently the band is back in the studio with long time co-producer Will Holland (Pixies, Fall Out Boy) recording their sixth full length album.
