T Sisters w/ Lena Rich

The T Sisters are a genuine sister group based in the creative hub of Oakland, California. The group is made up of big sister Erika (guitar, vocals) and twins Rachel (guitar, banjo, vocals) and Chloe Tietjen (percussion, vocals). Distinguished by close harmonies, catchy melodies and potent lyricism, the T Sisters’ sound represents a continuum of music: from roots to pop influences, moments of stunning a cappella to swells of groovy indie folk.  The sisters' contemporary yet classic sound invites a range of likenesses, with classic harmonies akin to the Pointer Sisters and the Everly Brothers and modern kinship with family bands like the Avett Brothers and First Aid Kit. With their soaring sibling harmonies, sassy stage presence, and inventive songwriting, these three sisters embody a fresh and soulful take on folk/Americana music.

Credited with having, “a gift at capturing picturesque lyrics, an ability of distilling something complicated into something accessible to everyone,” rising singer-songwriter Lena Rich produces upbeat rhythms and delivers poetic, emotionally charged lyrics with a truth echoed by her strong voice and acoustic guitar.  Since she got her start playing frequent shows at age 14, she has since gone on to share the stage with nationally touring artists such as Anais Mitchell, Antje Duvekot and bluegrass legend Tony Trischka. Lena has appeared at festivals such as Ossipee Valley Music Festival and played at venues such as One Longfellow Square, St. Lawrence Arts Center and Blue to name a few. Having played in a variety of bands (bluegrass, jazz and rock), Lena's original music features influences from many different genres. At the core of her inspiration are songwriters she grew up admiring, such as Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan. Lena recorded her debut EP, "Slow Motion" at The Studio in Portland, Maine. Following a successful release tour, Lena's 2018 debut full length album, "Something In Between," is now available on all online platforms. “I love the feeling of playing my songs for an audience - I never know when or why a particular arrangement of chords and lyrics resonates with someone, but when it does, I feel the connection and that feeling is what keeps me writing and playing music.”
