Allumé is a collaborative project between Nashville’s Miss Tess, Thomas Bryan Eaton (Miss Tess, Bertha), and Lafayette, Louisiana-based K.C. Jones (Feufollet, The Daiquiri Queens), and Trey Broudreaux (The Revelers). All four of them are accomplished multi-instrumentalists, accompanying each other on guitars, pedal steel, fiddle, harmony vocals, bass, and stripped down drums, to make one big cajun-country-cozy supergroup. They will be featuring songs from Cher Rêve, the new album by Miss Tess, and well as originals and covers from Thomas & Kelli.
This new band is the product of an on-going love affair with the culturally rich region of South Louisiana known as Acadiana, or more specifically, the magical little city of Lafayette. It may not be for everyone, but if you are of a certain disposition, it seems to create a vortex with a magnetic pull that attracts like-minded souls. That’s exactly what happened to Tess and Thomas, as they have been frequent visitors to the area since 2010. What you will hear is a combination of rootsy styles, and a group of friends sharing music they love.
