Loudon Wainwright III

August 14 @ 8:00 PM

Doors open an hour before showtime.

Loudon Wainwright III enters 2025 with the release of Loudon Live in London, recorded during a three-night residency at Nell’s Jazz & Blues Club in 2024. He also joins the acclaimed Transatlantic Sessions tour in the UK, a long-running celebration of the musical traditions connecting Scotland, Ireland, and the United States.

Born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, in 1946, Wainwright first gained national attention when “Dead Skunk” became a Top 20 hit in 1972. Over a career spanning more than five decades, he has released dozens of albums, earned a Grammy Award for High, Wide & Handsome: The Charlie Poole Project, and built a reputation as one of America’s most distinctive songwriters. His songs have been recorded by artists including Bonnie Raitt, Johnny Cash, Earl Scruggs, and his son, Rufus Wainwright.

Beyond music, Wainwright is an accomplished actor, writer, and performer whose work has appeared on stage, screen, and television. His one-man show Surviving Twin, inspired by the writings of his late father, became a Netflix special produced by Judd Apatow and directed by Christopher Guest. Whether through songwriting, storytelling, or acting, Wainwright continues to bring his trademark wit, honesty, and insight to audiences around the world.
