Some combinations just work: pie, whiskey, and songwriters in the round. After over a decade of successfully maturing this concept at music industry events across North America, Pie & Whiskey is coming to Portland, Maine, thanks to Connor Garvey and One Longfellow Square. When the renowned North East Regional Folk Alliance Conference (NERFA) announced it was relocating to Portland after recent years in NJ, CT, and NY, the opportunity arose to engage the people of Maine. Often, these events are behind closed doors, making it difficult for the public to access the talent. While the private showcases have provided invaluable exposure for artists to presenters, bookers, DJs, and fellow musicians, with so much artistry converging in Portland, it would be a shame for locals to miss out.
With support from Maine Craft Distillery and Two Fat Cats Bakery, OLS and Connor are excited to present a lineup of acts from near and far, all while enjoying quality offerings in a vibrant setting. Come hear a few of your favorites and find new songwriters and acts that you might not have heard while they were in town had you not loved pie so much!
